Samajbadi party leaders discuss joining ruling alliance with PM Deuba

Kathmandu, Aug 18: The leaders of the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party Nepal discussed the joining of the ruling coalition and other contemporary political issues with Prime Minister and President of the Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba at the latter's official residence in Baluwatar today.     

During the meeting, the possibility of alliance in the upcoming general elections, and contemporary political issues were discussed, said a senior leader of the party Rajendra Mahato. "As the citizenship bill, the main agenda of our party has moved forward, we have urged the Prime Minister to decide soon about our possibility of joining the ruling alliance," he said.     

Discussion on the matter including a possible alliance in the coming elections was held on a positive note. Leader Mahato said his party was ready to join the alliance if a decision is taken accordingly.     

Along with leader Mahato, the party president Mahanta Thakur, Saradsingh Bhandari, Anil Kumar Jha and other leaders were also present in the meeting. (RSS)
