Saptari, Aug 17: The Transport Management Service Office has been brought into operation in Rajbiraj of Saptari district.
Minister for Physical
Infrastructure and Development of Madhes Province Ram Saroj Yadav and Minister
for Finance Shailendra Prasad Saha on Tuesday jointly inaugurated the office
established at Rajbiraj municipality-9 along the Rajbiraj-Rupani road section.
On the occasion, Truck
Entrepreneurs' Association Saptari chair Jagadish Aryal announced to donate
Association's two kattha land at Rajbiraj-9, Maleth to the Transport Management
Office.
It may be noted that the provincial
government had decided to establish the transport management service office at
Rajbiraj last year.
Office Chief Shashi Yadav said the
office setup has ended the compulsion of service-receivers of Saptari to travel
to Siraha for transport-related works.
According to him, the office would
deliver the services related to the renewal of vehicle ownership and driver license
certificates, vehicle registration, vehicle pass route permission, and transport
service registration, among others.
The province so far has transport
service offices in Birgunj, Lahan, and Janakpur. (RSS)
