Nine board members, 150 employees of call center arrested for cheating

By Kapil Gyawali, Siddharthanagar, July 24: The police have arrested board members of a call center for cheating the clients.

Nine board members of the call center, Blue Sky Business Solution Pvt. Ltd, located at Janaki Nagar in Tilottama Municipality-2 of Rupendehi district, have been arrested for cheating the general public.

Thug Bahadur KC, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the Area Police Office, Butwal, informed that in addition to the board members, 150 employees of the center have been taken under control within the office premises for investigation.

DSP KC said that the preliminary investigation has established that obscene messages were sent to the mobile number, WhatsApp, and Facebook accounts of the general public from the office of the call center run with the investment of Indian and Chinese nationals. 

150 employees were taken under control as they were involved in cheating activities by sending the obscene message and fake messages of a lottery win to the individual mobile number and social media accounts of the public, according to DSP KC.


The police have sealed off the building of the office of the call center for the purpose of investigation.

The call center has rented 3 storeys of the 4-storey building and been running the call center with 300 computers.

The police raided the office following the public complaints about cheating, blackmailing, and harassment by means of wrong messages to them from the call center.
