blog

Kathmandu, July 8: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said Radio Nepal should be a choice of all by expanding its access to all people.

The state-owned radio broadcaster should integrate and promote all languages, ethnicities and geography through its contents, the Minister stressed at an event organised here Friday. A book entitled 'Radio Nepal Broadcasting Directive and Style Book' was made public at the programme. It was published by Radio Nepal.

"Now, radio has reached out to all people. It should also be popular not only among Nepali people at home but also among those living in foreign countries by being inclusive in terms of its contents. It should pursue this purpose."

He directed Radio Nepal employees to do their duty with utmost dedication to increasing its image while taking into account the economic, social and geographical realities of the country.

Similarly, Ministry Secretary Dr Baikuntha Aryal stressed the need for Radio Nepal to produce its contents so as to win the Nepali people's hearts.
