President Bhandari observes Jagannath chariot procession

Kathmandu, July 1: President Bidya Devi Bhandari reached Sundhara in Kathmandu to observe the Jagannath chariot procession.     

President Bhandari also received holy offerings (prasad) after watching the procession organized here today by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Nepal.     

ISKCON's representative for Nepal Patridas shared that the chariot procession was conducted to unite Nepalis for world peace.     

Stating that unrest has been spreading in the world recently, Patridas informed that it was for the first time Head of the State had graced the ISKCON's chariot procession.     

The procession that started from Sundhara will go around the town and will conclude in Basantapur today evening organizing a cultural programme.
