One killed, two injured in lightning

Kailali, June 28: A woman has died after being struck by a lightning in Kailali today.     

The deceased has been identified as Sugpankhi Devi Chaudhary, 56, of Kailari Rural Municipality-1, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Bed Prakash Joshi.     

Chaudhary was struck by lightning while she was working in a field near her house and died on the way to the hospital.     

Similarly, Dhaniram Chaudhary, 32, and Krishna Chaudhary, 34, of Kailali-3 were injured in the lightning strike. Both were struck by lightning while they were extracting paddy saplings in their own field. They are undergoing treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi, police said.  (RSS)
