Muna Hamal, Surkhet, June 15: The Karnali Province has unveiled an annual
budget of Rs. 32.61 billion for the fiscal year (FY) 2022/23.
Minister
for Economic Affairs and Planning of the Karnali Province, Bindaman Bishta,
proposed Rs. 32.62 billion budget for the Karnali Province for the FY 2022/23.
The
budget comprises a recurrent budget of Rs 9.16 billion and a capital budget
of Rs 19.43 billion.
Minister
Bishta said that the provincial government has accorded priority to completing
the ongoing projects of physical infrastructures and allocated the budget accordingly.
Acceleration
of growth by the rapid development of road, irrigation, agriculture, education and alleviation
of multi-dimension poverty by promoting industry, tourism and agriculture and creation
of favorable investment environment are the main motives of the budget, he said.
The
Karnali government has allocated Rs 1.94 billion for the ongoing construction
of the road and bridge.
