Arjun Kafle Syangja, June 5: Suspension bridge will be built to connect the municipalities of Waling and Bhirkot. BLT Construction Pvt. Ltd. signed a contract worth Rs. 7,000,000 in the year 2020 but couldn’t start due to COVID19. The 250-metre-long bridge is scheduled to be completed by next November.

After the construction of the bridge, one thousand households in Saundi, Kavre, Charang, Jutdanda of Bhirkot-9, and Simle, Thana, Karadi, Shirbani, and Dumre Bhanjyang of Waling-14 will benefit. The construction of the bridge will eliminate the struggle of students to walk for two hours to study and will also make it easier for them to take motorcycles via the bridge.

Yam Bahadur Thapa of Waling said that the students used to reach Dumre Bhanjyang with a lot of struggle as they had to traverse forest paths and cross lots of mountains, Prof. Ananatraj Aryal stated that the students who come to study from a long distance will be wasting less time on the path and have more time for studies.

Former Minister Padma Aryal directed the contractor company to complete the construction of the bridge on time. She said that the construction of the bridge was delayed due to the delay of the contractor.
