Kaligandai Rural Municipality will get their health insurance free of cost.
Bed Bahadur Thapa, the newly elected Chairperson of the RM, took this decision as his first one after assuming office for the
second term.
While assuming the office, I have decided to provide free
health insurance to 15,000 people in our rural municipality, Thapa said
He
observed the decision would provide great relief to the low-income
households.
Chairperson Thapa said the local government was serious
about the health of the people and that it would work to make the health
institutes within its jurisdiction additionally qualitative and complete the construction
of a 15-bed hospital very soon.
He added that the local government would connect the
people with production so as to make the area self-reliant.
According to the data of the rural municipality, there
are 15,000 people in the 3,500 households here.
Nepali Congress candidate Thapa got elected as
Chairperson while CPN (Maoist Center) candidate Manju Kumari Darlmi got elected
as the vice-Chairperson of the Kaligandaki Rural Municipality in the local
level election held on May 13.
