31,000 votes left to be counted in Bharatpur

Bharatpur, May 22 (RSS): Now, 31,528 votes are left to be counted in Bharatpur Metropolis for finalizing the election results. 

So far, 96,311 votes have been counted, according to the Office of the Chief Returning Officer. With this, the vote count has been over from ward 1 to 20 in Metropolis.

The vote count so far has placed Renu Dahal, the alliance candidate, in the leading position with 37,928 votes. She belongs to the CPN (Maoist Centre). Her nearest rival Bijay Subedi of CPN UML has collected 29,633 votes.

 Meanwhile, independent candidate Jagannath Poudel has received 12,463 votes.

Chitrasen Adhikari from Nepali Congress has been leading the deputy mayoral post by a wide margin of 16,678 votes. His nearest rival Himala Gurung has collected only 23,443 votes.

Currently, the vote count of Ward No 21 and 22 is going on here.

In the voting, a total of 127,839 votes were cast in Bharatpur Metropolis.
