Local Level Election: NC wins 311, UML in 188, MC in 120 seats out of 701

By Bishnu Pande, Kathmandu, May 22: The results of 701 local levels of the local poll held on May 13 have been made public so far.

Of the results made public so far, the Nepali Congress has won 311 chiefs while the CPN (UML) has won 188 chiefs at the local levels. Similarly, the CPN (Maoist Centre) has won 120 chiefs while the CPN (United Socialist) has won nine seats of the chief, the Janata Samajwadi Party has won 20 seats and the other parties have been elected as chiefs in 53 local levels.

According to the data included in the centralized data of the Election Commission till 11 am on Sunday, the NC has won mayor posts in 126 municipalities and has taken the lead in 10 municipalities.

Similarly, the CPN (UML) has won the mayor post in 67 municipalities and is leading in 15 municipalities. The CPN (MC) has won key posts in 24 municipalities and leading in two municipalities.

Similarly, the CPN (US) has won mayor posts in nine municipalities and is leading in two municipalities. Other parties have won mayor posts in 25 municipalities and are leading in 11 municipalities.

On the Rural municipality side, the NC has won the post of chairperson in 185 rural municipalities and has taken the lead in three rural municipalities. UML has won the post of chairperson in 121 municipalities and is leading in two municipalities.
