One dead, 12 injured in Sarlahi bus accident

By Janarjan Khatri, Sarlahi, May 18: A person has been killed while 12 others were injured when a passenger bus and a pick-up van carrying fish collided at each other at Banke jungle along the Eat West Highway in Sarlhi district today.

Roshan Thapa, police inspector at the Kesharjung Area Police Office, informed that the injured are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Lalbandi.

The pick-up van coming from Bardibas collided with the bus coming from the opposite direction.

The dead, assistant driver of the bus, has been identified as Bhim Rajbansi, 37, of Itahari Sub-metropolis 4.

The assistant driver was killed when the overturned and pressed him to death. The bus overturned while trying to avoid the van which was on a dangerous speed.
