Mini-truck carrying people in victory rally overturns, 26 injured

By Laxman Paudel, Bhairahawa, May 18: Some 18 people have been injured when a mini truck carrying people participating in victory rallies met with an accident.

The mini-truck was participating in the victory rally of the Siddhartha Nagar Municipality Ward no. 10 in the Rupandehi district.

Keshav KC, police inspector at the district traffic police office, informed that the injured have been undergoing treatment at the Universal Medical College.

Of the injured, 6 are said to be in critical condition.

The victory rally of the CPN (UML) was taken out from Bhairahawa Namuna Secondary School, where the vote counting was done, and the truck overturned at Shankarpur of the same ward.
