UML's Ghale elected Chame RM Chair

By Belina Thapa, Lamjung, May 14: CPN (UML) candidate Lokendra Bahadur Ghale has been elected the Chairperson of Chame Rural Municipality in Manang district.

Ghale got 320 votes, 41 more votes than his rival, NC's Chhiring Dhwarje Lama, who got 279 votes in the local level election held on Friday.

Ghale has been elected for the second term to the post of chairperson.

However, NC's Mingmar Dhoma Lama got elected to the post of vice-chairperson with 325 votes whereas her rival, UML's Asha Kumari Gurung got 274 votes.

Although the vote counting has been over, the office of the chief election officer is yet to announce the result officially.
