By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 10: The five-party ruling alliance
has appealed to voters to participate in the local level election slated for
May 13 and safeguard the achievements made so far.
The
five parties made a joint appeal on Tuesday evening, hours before the silence period for the local level election started.
The appeal is undersigned by Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba, also Prime Minister, CPN (Maoist Center) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda,' CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajwadi Chair Upendra Yadav and Rastriya Janamorcha Vice-chair Durga Paudel.
In
their appeal, the leaders of the five parties have argued that their alliance
save the country from heading to political disaster as there was a high chance
for the regressive forces to gain strength after the dissolution of the House.
They
said that they would keep their cooperation in tact for safeguarding the constitution,
democracy and republican set up and also usher the nation in the path of
development and prosperity.
