Gandaki, May 8 (RSS): CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the five-party alliance has been winning the people's confidence.

Addressing the election mass meeting organised by the ruling five-party alliance in Pokhara today, he asserted that the present 'democratic and leftist alliance' is tried and tested over a long period of history and it has won the trust of the people through its thought and conduct at every turn.

"We have done a good and right by forging the alliance. The political changes of 2007 BS and 2046 BS were made successful through collaboration between Congress and the Communists. It was also through the alliance between these forces that the people's movement in 2063 BS was successful, leading to the constituent assembly election and declaration of the republic as well as the promulgation of the Constitution."

He accused the main opposition CPN (UML) Chair KP Oli of forming what he called a rightist and anti-constitution alliance.

Chair Nepal urged the voters in Pokhara to elect the five-party alliance candidates in the local election for developing Pokhara as a touristic city, conserve the lakes in the city, improve settlements, promoting employment and advancement in the education and health sectors.
