Economy likely to grow by 4 percent
The Central Bank’s preliminary forecast has shown that the economy is likely to grow by 4 percent in the fiscal year (FY) 2024/25 measure in term of the current price benchmark. The economic growth in terms of consumer price, however, is estimated to increase by 4.6 percent.

Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, spokesperson of the Election Commission, said at a press meet on Friday that of the political parties which have submitted closed list, 54 will compete with their own electoral symbols while the remaining 10 parties will use four separate symbols under different clusters, in line with their closed list.

The Department of Drug Administration (DDA) has released a notice concerning the recall of certain medicines from the market. The Department on Friday issued a notice to recall the drug Levoflox-500 tablets from the local market with batch number BB-24001. The Department has also urged all not to recommend, sell, distribute and use the drug of this specific batch number.
Community-based Disease Surveillance Guideline, 2082 issued
The guideline mentioned about early detection of unexpected public health incidents and infectious diseases seen in the community for the identification of non-communicable diseases. Similarly, rapid information would be delivered at health institutions within 24 hours through women community health volunteers, teachers and social leaders.
