Man dies of electrocution in Kalikot

By Prem Raj Simkhada, Kalikot, March 16: A man died after being electrocuted in Kalikot District.

The deceased has been identified as Man Baral, approximately 50 years old, of Bakharkot, Raskot Municipality-8.

According to locals, Baral was grazing goats in a forest area called Dilchakh when he accidentally came into contact with an electric wire and was electrocuted.

Local Kamal Prasad Baral said that he had called the electricity office requesting them to cut off the power supply after receiving information about the incident, but Baral had already died at the scene.

Chief of the District Police Office Kalikot, Deputy Superintendent of Police Him Bahadur Khatri, said that a team from the Area Police Office Raskot had been dispatched to the site after receiving information about the death caused by electrocution.
