Gautam Gambhir unveiled as India's new head coach
Gautam Gambhir will be India's next head coach, succeeding Rahul Dravid, who ended his tenure after overseeing India's victorious T20 World Cup 2024 campaign. BCCI secretary Jay Shah made the announcement via X (formerly Twitter). The new coach will be in charge for three and a half years and in all formats.
Dumre-Besisahar roadway restored
The Dumre-Besisahar road, which had been disrupted by a landslide, has now been restored. Inspector of Police Meghanath Chapagain at the District Police Office reported that the landslide debris was cleared this morning, paving the way for the resumption of traffic from 11 am today.

Floods, landslides kill 83 people so far, 106 injured
Eighty-three people have so far died in disaster-related incidents, including landslides and floods, triggered by relentless rains across the country. The Police Headquarters stated that 33 men, 25 women and 25 children have died in such incidents in various places of the country from June 10 till this morning.
