Poll canvassing allowed from November 3-17
As only 20 days are left until the election to the House of Representatives (HOR) and the Provincial Assemblies, the political parties and their candidates will be allowed to conduct election campaign from November 3-17.

Parties Set To Advance Canvassing
With just 21 days left until the elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) and the provincial assemblies, the political parties, their candidates and cadres, supporters, and independent nominees have already begun nationwide canvassing to win over voters. However, the election code of conduct, which was issued a couple of weeks ago by the Election Commission (EC) after holding consultations with the political parties as key stakeholders, allows the parties and contestants to carry out their publicity campaigns in full swing merely 17 days before the polling date. The poll code prevents them from holding marches, mass gatherings and corner meetings prior to November 3 as the elections are scheduled to be held on November 20. Tunnel construction in Dolakha nears completion
The construction of tunnel under North-South corridor in Lamabagar of Bigu Rural Municipality-1, Dolakha, is nearing completion. Company MV Dugadh Hydropower Pvt. Ltd has been constructing the 160MW project in Lapche Khola, located above the dam of Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project (UTHP), in its own investment. The company informed that the construction work of the tunnel is in final stage. So far, 825m track of 1074.18m tunnel has been opened. The construction is likely to complete by mid-December.
