With the expansion of floriculture farming over the years, Nepal is becoming self-reliant in flowers. According to the Floriculture Association Nepal (FAN), about 90 per cent of the Nepali demand for flowers is met by domestic production. Bishwamani Pokharel, general secretary of the FAN, said production of flowers in Nepal was enough to fulfill about 90 per cent of domestic demand.
