By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 19: Narayan Joshi, aged 37, has been arrested for defrauding Rs 4.7 million by false promising foreign employment in Qatar.
According to the Police Superintendent Rameshwor Karki, Information Officer at the Crime Investigation Office, Joshi, of Katahari Rural Municipality-6 of Morang district, was arrested from Janakpur Submetropolitan City-4 of Dhanusha district.
Likewise, 43-year-old Bikram Rana has been arrested for taking Rs 2 million to send to Iraq, Nabaraj Paudel for taking Rs three hundred thousand to send to Australia, and Dawang Lama for taking Rs 1 million to send to Croatia.
Rana, a resident of Barahatal Rural Municipality-2 of Surkhet, was arrested from Teku, Poudel of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-10 of Bhaktapur, from Putalisadak, Lama of Naso Rural Municipality-6 of Manang, and from Nagarjun Municipality-8 of Kathmandu.
They had been keeping unemployed youths under wraps for a long time, promising them attractive salaries and taking them abroad for employment, and had become out of touch.
They have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment, Tahachal, Kathmandu, for necessary investigation and action.
