By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 11: The government has come up with a plan to certify water originating in the Himalayan region of the country.
President Ramchandra Paudel read about the
government plans while presenting the government policy and programme for the
fiscal year of 2026/027 at the meeting of the federal parliament today.
"The government will brand Nepali Himalayan water with the concept of Himalayan origin certified water," said the President while reading out the government policy and programme.
The government has unveiled a plan to ensure access to safe drinking water within five years and an integrated programme will be run for this among three levels of the government- federal, provincial and local.
