Minister for Communication and Information Technology

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 15: Minister for Communication and Information Technology has implemented a new work plan in line with providing expedited and effective service, thereby ending the sluggish work daily.

As per the new rule, a file that reaches the desk of the system of those employed under the Communication Ministry needs to be looked into on the same day if possible, and if not, within the next day.

Joint Secretary of the Ministry, Subash Chandra Shivakoti, said that a new arrangement has been made with the aim of motivating employees to fulfill their responsibilities quickly, completely and in a quality manner.

If the work cannot be completed in the stipulated time, then it needs to be reported to the superior. Similarly, an employee needs to be there for a full circle, supervising it, maintaining a progress report, after starting a letter or decision-making process.

Ministry said that for the effective implementation, all employees are asked to sign the commitment letter, and the department head will be shouldered with the responsibility to ensure that all the responsibilities taken by the employees are fulfilled.

This step is believed to instill discipline among employees and to have a positive working environment. Along with this, it is believed service will be delivered promptly, effectively, and easily.

The ministry aims to develop this practice as a long-term work culture by expanding it to all subordinate bodies. In addition, subordinate offices have been instructed to use resources economically and effectively.
