Kathmandu, Apr. 13: Anita Khrel’s novel, ‘Adira’, published by Red Panda Books, was launched on Saturday. This is Kharel's first novel, which was launched by poet and novelist Biplav Prateek, film director Shanta Nepali, and Gen-Z activist Majid Ansari.
Speaking about the novel at the Mandala Theatre, Shanta Nepali said that she was immersed in the world of imagination while reading the stories in this book. When comparing it to the real world, the setting of her novel can be compared to the beautiful place in Chitwan, said Nepali.
Nepali added that the story keeps pulling the reader into the novel without letting them go elsewhere.
Similarly, Gen-Z activist Majid Ansari said that he became emotional while sharing that the characters' feelings resonated with his own experiences.
Likewise, poet Biplav Prateek said that the author Anita created a wonderful world of imagination in the novel, congratulating her for the complicated task, accomplished beautifully.
“Weaving a vast image of unsaid and unimagined plots, turns, ups and downs while wandering around in a fictional world in an interesting way is another difficult task. ‘Adira’ is the wonderful result of the difficult work,” said Biplav Prateek.
He appreciated Anita’s flight of imagination, like in ‘Metamorphosis’ by Franz Kafka and ‘One Hundred Years of Solitude’ by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.‘Adira’ has become very close to the narrative created by her consciousness and thoughts, said Prateek.
Author described her book, ‘Adira’, as a story of love, compassion, harmony, and justice and equality.
Kharel also said that this novel explores ego, deceit, and hypocrisy. She also portrayed it as a story of conflict between possibility and negativity within every person.
