By TRN Online, Kavre, April 7: Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has visited the Roshi Khola area which was hit hard by flood last year and took note on ways to avert similar disaster this year.
During the visit, he took note of possible risks related to floods in the Roshi stream.
Owing to increasing complaints and problems faced by locals due to floods in the Roshi year by year, Home Minister Gurung visited the Roshi stream area hit hard by floods last year.
Kunsang Lama, mayor of Namobuddha municipality and
Mim Bahadur Waiba, vice chair of Roshi Rural Municipality welcomed Minister
Gurung as he arrived here to inspect the flood damaged area.
On the occasion, Minister Gurung took stock of state
of the flood hit area and infrastructure and settlement in high risk of flood,
including preparation for disaster risk mitigation and coordination among the government
agencies.
