International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination being observed today

Kathmandu, March 21: The 61st International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is being celebrated with a variety of programs in the country today. The theme for the Day in the country this year is 'Unified Dalit Movement for Equal Rights, Constitution Amendment for Building the Basis of Socialism'.

A rally was organized in the morning. The National Dalit Commission and Dalit rights organizations have organized discussion program today under the title 'Effective Identification of State Structure for Access to Justice for Dalit Community'.

Accordingly, this evening an illumination program is being held at Maitighar Mandala in the federal capital.

Meanwhile, Ganesh BK, elected as a member of the House of Representatives, has called on all concerned to continuously join the struggle  create a situation incidents of discrimination based on race are not allowed to happen. He also mentioned about the recent case of rape and murder of Inisha BK. (RSS)
