By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Mar. 14: Two medical institutions from Nepal and India have agreed to enhance trade, strengthen technical cooperation, and collaborate in the development of medicines. Nepal's Medicine Industry and the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) of India reached this agreement during  a three-day Nepal Pharma Expo held in Kathmandu.

According to the agreement, both sides will work together to strengthen Nepal’s pharmaceutical industry on practical, social, and technical levels.

It is also expected that regular seminars and workshops will be organised between representatives of both countries to exchange new technologies and professional skills related to pharmaceutical production.

The agreement further commits both sides to support each other in expanding industrial visits and trade to promote the development of the pharmaceutical sector.

It is also expected that the agreement will contribute to the growth of Nepal’s medicinal industry while providing international market access for Nepali medicine producers.
