Nepal pockets 37 million rupees as ICC announces record T20 World Cup prize fund

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, March 11:  Nepal, which was out of the group stage in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, jointly organized by India and Sri Lanka, has received $256,154 ( around 37 million Nepali Rupees))from the International Cricket Council (ICC).

ICC announced the prize to Nepal today in prize money distribution to the players who participated in the World Cup. Italy, the UAE, and the Netherlands stand the same in receiving the prize.

Following the successful conclusion of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed the final distribution of the tournament’s US$11.25 million Players’ Prize Money pool, in line with the record-breaking increase to ICC prize money made in 2024.

India received the highest prize money $2,639,423 followed by  New Zealand(runner-up), which received $1,422,692, and South Africa (third) recived $1,005,577.

 Afghanistan, Australia, and the United States of America have received $309,808 each. All three countries failed to make it to the group stage.

Scotland has received $278,654, and Ireland has received 271,731 US dollar  .

After winning against New Zealand in the T20 2026, India won two cups consecutively.
