By Nisha Rai, Dharan, March 11: Three passenger buses have been destroyed in a fire that broke out at a garage in Dharan on Tuesday night.
According to the Area Police Office Dharan, the fire
occurred at around 10 pm at the Aatal garage located in of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan
City-8.
Following information about the incident, a police team led
by Inspector Jeevan Kunwar was deployed to the site.
Police said the fire was brought under control at around
10:40 pm through the joint efforts of Nepal Police personnel and a fire brigade.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police and Chief of
the Area Police Office, Bhishan Babu Rai, buses bearing registration (1 Kha
6274, Pra 1-01-001 Kha 4037 and Ba 4 Kha 5759) were completely burnt in the
incident.
Similarly, buses with registration numbers Ko 1 Kha 3847, Ba
5 Kha 5814 and Ba 5 Kha 5809 sustained partial damage.
Police said that no human or livestock casualties were
reported in the incident.
The cause of the fire and further details are yet to be
ascertained, and police said that further investigation is underway.
