Kathmandu, March 10: The haze seen in various parts of the country over the past few days is expected to gradually clear from today, meteorologists said.

Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari said that the weather condition is likely to further improve from tomorrow.

According to him, the haze witnessed in recent days was caused by the influence of a high-pressure system. However, as the system gradually weakens, the haze is also expected to dissipate.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said that the country is currently under the partial influence of westerly winds, a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere and a low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere near the eastern region.

According to the department, light rainfall has occurred in some places today.
