Five gamblers arrested with cash

Kaski Correspondent, March 10: Police have arrested five persons on the charge of gambling from Pokhara of Kaski District along with cash and playing cards.

A joint team deployed from the District Police Office Kaski and Ward Police Office Bagar apprehended the individuals with Rs. 99,855 in cash and a deck of cards.

According to police, they were arrested while playing gambling cards in Akladevi of Pokhara Metropolitan City-19.

Police said that further investigation is underway after obtaining a 10-day extension for investigation from the District Administration Office, Kaski.

The arrested individuals are being investigated under the offence related to gambling or betting, which falls under crimes against public interest, health, safety, convenience and morality, police said.
