RSP committed to strengthening Nepal-India ties: Lamichhane

By Mahima Devkota, Kathmandu, March 10: President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane has said that the party and the government will remain committed to strengthening Nepal-India relations based on mutual respect and shared prosperity.

Responding to a congratulatory message from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lamichhane expressed gratitude for recognising the democratic mandate of the Nepali people.

In a message shared on social media, he thanked Prime Minister Modi for his warm wishes and said that RSP would prioritise “development diplomacy” in its foreign policy approach.

Lamichhane said that Nepal looks forward to further strengthening cooperation with India in areas such as connectivity, cultural tourism, energy and trade.

He added that enhanced cooperation between the two neighbours would help ensure a prosperous future for the people of both countries.
