Shram Sanskriti Party bags highest votes under PR system in Khotang

Khotang, March 9: The Shram Sankriti Party led by Harka Sampang has emerged as the largest political party in Khotang district by getting the highest votes under the proportional representation system. 

The party got 18,137 votes under the PR system out of a total 63,257 votes cast. 

Under the first past-the-post electoral system, Aren Rai was elected the HoR Member from the district with 16,612 votes. 

The CPN (UML) and Nepali Congress (NC) secured the second and third popular votes under the PR system in Khotang. 

UML secured 11,385 votes and NC garnered 10,705 votes while Rastriya Prajatantra Party secured 8,879 votes and Nepali Communist Party bagged 7,274 votes in Khotang district. (RSS)
