RSP's Gautam elected from Makawanpur-1

Hetauda, March 8: Prakash Gautam of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected a member of the House of Representatives from Makawanpur constituency-1. He received 36,033 votes. 

Gautam's closet contender Maha Laxmi Upadhyay (Dina) of the Nepali Congress got 14,038 votes. Similarly, CPN (UML)'s Rameshwor Rana secured 12,783 votes, Bijay Gautam of the Nepali Communist Party 10,788 votes, Dipak Bahadur Singh of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Nepal, 4,574 votes and Surendra Lama of Ujyaalo Nepal Party 10,205 votes.
