RSP candidate Maharjan wins HoR polls from Lalitpur-1

Patan (Lalitpur), March 7: Buddha Ratna Maharjan, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate for the House of Representatives (HoR) elections from Lalitpur-1 has emerged victorious with 23,373 votes.

According to Election Officer Isha Subedi, the RSP candidate won the election against his nearest competitor Uday Shumsher Rana by 9,853 votes. Rana finished the competition with 13,520. Likewise, Chetnath Sanjel, the candidate of Nepali Communist Party (NCP), obtained 6,546 votes.

Out of 77,737 voters here, a total of 52,632 votes were cast. Among them, 2049 were declared invalid. 

A total of 28 candidates including independents were in the race for the HoR polls form Lalitpur-1. (RSS)
