RSP candidate, Bhusal, wins HoR Member election in Parbat

Parbat, March 7: The counting of votes under the first-past-the-post (direct) electoral system under the House of Representatives (HoR) Member election has been completed in Parbat district.

According to the final vote count results concluded this morning, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP)'s candidate Sagar Bhusal has won the election in the district with 26,561 votes. 

His closest contender, Nepali Congress's candidate Arjun Prasad Joshi, received 15,954 votes while the CPN (UML) candidate Padam Giri received 15,075 votes, the District Election Office stated. 

Seventeen candidates, including four independents, from 13 political parties were in the electoral fray In Parbat. (RSS)
