By Janarjan Khatri, March 7: Dr Amaresh Kumar Singh of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has continued to widen his lead in the vote count for the House of Representatives election in Sarlahi Constituency-4.
According to the vote count update at 7:00 am on Saturday, Singh is ahead of Gagan Kumar Thapa, President of the Nepali Congress, by 4,431 votes.
Singh has secured 11,383 votes, while Thapa has received 6,952 votes.
A total of 77,931 votes were cast in the constituency during the House of Representatives election held on Thursday.
Dr Singh has previously been elected three consecutive times from Sarlahi Constituency-4.
