RSP's Pramod Kumar Mahato wins in Mahottari Constituency-1
Candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Pramod Kumar Mahato,
By Ashok Shah, Mahottari, March 7: Pramod Kumar Mahato, the candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been elected to the House of Representatives from Mahottari Constituency-1, winning by a margin of more than 22,000 votes.
According to the final results of the election, Mahato secured 34,636 votes, said Election Officer Gagan Dev Mahato.
His closest rival Giriraj Mani Pokharel of the Nepali Communist Party received 12,624 votes.
Mahato defeated the former minister Pokharel by a margin of 22,012 votes.
Similarly, Laxmi Mahato Koiri of the CPN-UML obtained 6,591 votes, while Mukesh Raj Kafle of the Nepali Congress received 6,213 votes.
