Kathmandu, March 6: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is taking a lead in 96 constituencies in the ongoing vote count under the House of Representatives election.
The Election Commission informed that in the vote count going on for 135 constituencies at present, the updated list till 5:00 pm showed the RSP at top leading in 96 places, while it is followed by the Nepali Congress in 11 places, the UML in 10 places and the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) in 9 places.
The Shram Sanskriti Party has taken a lead in three constituencies' vote count, while the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, the Pragatishil Loktantrik Party, the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal and an independent candidate are taking lead in one constituency each.
Two candidates victorious
So far, two candidates have been declared victorious. They are- RSP's Ranju Darshana who collected 15, 455 votes from constituency no 1 of Kathmandu and Yogesh Gauchan Thakali of the Nepali Congress from Mustang, who collected 3,307 votes.(RSS)
