Karnali, March 6: Vote counting has begun in both the electoral constituencies of Surkhet under the House of Representatives election. In Constituency No. 1, out of 1,987 votes counted, Bishnu Bahadur Khadka has received 798 votes.
Similarly, Tek Bahadur Singh of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) received 545 votes, Dhruba Kumar Shahi of the CPN (UML) received 427, and Jeet Bahadur Rana of the Nepali Communist Party received 77 votes, informed Election Officer Kailash Prasad Bhattarai.
Similarly, in Constituency No. 2, UML's Kulmani Devkota is leading. With 781 votes counted here, he has received 316 votes. Narayan Kumar Koirala of the Nepali Congress has received 218 votes, Ramesh Kumar Sapkota of the RSP 127 votes, and Jhak Bahadur Malla of the Nepali Communist Party 107 votes, said Chief Election Officer Deepak Dhakal.
