By Janarjan Khatri, Sarlahi, March 5: Voting has resumed after a dispute at the Primary School polling center in Jabdi village, Balara Municipality–4, Sarlahi Constituency-4, was resolved.

Voting had been halted after a disagreement occurred when an elderly voter attempted to cast a vote with the help of an assistant.

Following the dispute, a team including Chief District Officer of Sarlahi, Ramuraj Kadariya, along with district security chiefs, reached the polling center.

Chief District Officer Kadariya said that the dispute had been resolved and voting has resumed smoothly.

Voting is continuing peacefully at other polling centers in Sarlahi as well.

Similarly, voting is currently being conducted peacefully at the Janata Secondary School polling center in Bhawanipur, Basbariya Rural Municipality, also in Constituency-4, where a dispute had arisen shortly after voting began in the morning.

According to data from the District Police Office, Sarlahi, a total of 16,032 votes had been cast across the district by 11:15 AM.

There are 511,606 registered voters in the district.
