20% vote cast in Kaski

By Phadindra Adhikari, Lekhnath, 20 per cent of votes have been cast in three constituencies in Kaski district by 11 AM. 

According to the Information Officer of the Province Election Office, Pokhara, 60,931 votes, comprising 29,661 females and 31,069 males and one others have cast their votes by 11 AM in the district. 

“19.75 percent of the votes have been cast by 11 AM,” he said, adding, “Voting is continuing peacefully everywhere.”

In Kaski Constituency-1, there are 116,878 registered voters, while Constituency- 2 has 84,134 voters. Constituency- 3 has 107,560 voters.

In Kaski district, there are 153 polling stations and 363 polling centers, along with two temporary polling centers, making a total of 365 polling centers. 

A total of 49 candidates, including those from various political parties and independent candidates, are contesting in the district.

Voting in Prison

100 percent voting has been recorded at Kaski Prison. A total of 37 inmates cast their votes at the temporary polling center there.

Polling officer Govinda Shrestha informed that all inmates had completed voting by 9:30 AM.

There are 365 polling centers, including two temporary ones, and 153 polling stations in the district. 

Voting has been scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Preparations are underway to begin vote counting immediately after the voting process is completed.
