Investment-friendly environment necessary for development of film sector: Minister Sinha

Kathmandu, Feb 25: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Anil Kumar Sinha has said that modern policies, technology and an investment-friendly environment are necessary for the development of the Nepali film sector.     

At the 'Birat Film and Music Award-2082' program organized by the Celebrity Nepal Foundation today, he said that the commercialization and development of this sector will make a great contribution to job creation, tourism promotion, cultural preservation and economic growth.     

Stating that the film industry can be made commercial and self-reliant only through quality films, policy reforms and infrastructure development, Minister Sinha stressed the need to create an investment-friendly environment by eliminating the existing distortions in this sector.     

Film Development Board Chair Dinesh DC stressed the need to implement new policies and laws in a timely manner for the larger development of the film sector.     

Coordinator Suraj Poudel shared that the program was organized with the objective of promoting talent for the development of this sector.(RSS)
