Rukum Purba, Feb 12: Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', has vowed developing Lukum as a model village in the district. During a meeting at Bhume of Lukum on Thursday, Prachanda, who is also a former prime minister, stated that he would take a lead to develop the culturally rich village after his electoral victory.
He shared his experience of witnessing a famous Jhankri dance at Lukum and promised that a dedicated initiative would be launched for the advancement of the socially and culturally vibrant area. On the occasion, local demands were presented to Prachanda by Mankaji Pun, the ward chair of Bhume-1.
Principal of the Siddhachaur Secondary School, Ram Bahadur Pun, reminded Coordinator Prachanda on the need of school improvement. Acknowledging the request, Coordinator Dahal committed to promptly address the needs and aspirations of the local people. (RSS)
