Indian govt provides 223 vehicles to Nepal for HoR election

Kathmandu, Feb 12: The Indian government has handed over 223 vehicles to Nepal as an assistance for the upcoming election to the House of Representatives scheduled for March 5.     

Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, handed over the vehicles to Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal amidst a function at the Home Ministry on Thursday.     

Joint Secretary and Spokesperson of Home Ministry, Anand Kafle, informed that India had earlier gifted 61 vehicles in the first phase and 254 in the second phase.     

The Indian government has also assisted 50 more vehicles for the Nepali Army. The vehicle was handed over by Ambassador Srivastava to the Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel.     

Spokesperson Kafle informed that some of the materials to be provided to the Nepal Police have been received while some are in the process of receipt.(RSS)
