Actor Hamal embarking for book tour

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Feb. 11: Superstar Rajesh Hamal is all set to begin a book tour of his book Yug Dekhi Yug Samma in six cities of Japan.

 Organised by NRNA-Japan, the tour titled ‘Yug Dekhi Yug Samma: Sapana, Sadhana and Saphalata’ will cover Tokyo, Shizuoka, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka and Okinawa.

The programme, being held with the co-organisation of the International Nepali Literary Society (INLS-Japan), the initiative of FinePrint Books and the support of Nepal Airlines, is scheduled for February 11 in Tokyo, February 14 in Shizuoka, February 15 in Nagoya, February 17 in Osaka, February 19 in Fukuoka and February 20 in Okinawa.

Expressing his happiness at getting the opportunity to reach out to his well-wishers and readers in Japan, Hamal said, "I am excited to meet Nepali readers living in Japan with my book. When I visited Japan a few months ago, they showed keen interest in my book. This time, I will share my life, thoughts and discipline with them.”

NRNA-Japan President Subas Lamichhane said that he was pleased to be able to present Hamal and his book to Nepali readers and well-wishers living in Japan.

 Similarly, FinePrint’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Neeraj Bhari said that there is a large number of Nepali book and literature lovers abroad, especially in Japan, and expressed confidence that the Yug Dekhi Yug Samma book tour would further strengthen the relationship between the author, publisher and readers.

“We have many readers in Japan. With the increasing number of Nepali students, the demand for Nepali books has also increased. This programme is being organised as an initiative to connect with the expanding book market outside Nepal,” said CEO Bhari . “Our effort will be to meet as many readers as possible and to build a mechanism to easily deliver Nepali books to them.”

FinePrint has published Yug Dekhi Yug Samma, a book that presents Rajesh Hamal’s life story along with his views on cinema and society, in collaboration with writer and journalist Yangesh.
