BY A STAFF REPORTER, Kathmandu, Feb. 9: The Nepali Congress has announced the launch of a nationwide election mobilisation campaign titled ‘My 21 Days for Falgun 21’ aimed at activating party leaders and workers for the upcoming House of Representatives elections.
During a virtual meeting of the party’s Central Work Performance Committee held on Sunday, the party decided to launch the campaign. The programme has been incorporated under Clause 21 of the Nepali Congress Election Mobilisation Directive-2026, approved by the committee.
According to the directive, party members will actively engage in election-related activities from February 13 to March 5, pledging ‘My 21 Days for Falgun 21’. The campaign follows the policy of work where your official responsibility lies, under which all party leaders and workers will be deployed directly in the election field.
The directive states that representatives assigned by the central, provincial, district, and constituency committees to specific locations must complete their designated responsibilities there and then return to focus on their respective districts, constituencies, municipalities, and wards.
Except for those officially assigned responsibilities outside their areas, all other party office-bearers and members at every level have been instructed to remain focused on their own constituencies, municipalities and wards.
The party has also emphasised ward-level mobilisation, directing active members not to shift to other wards. With the slogan ‘We will win our own ward’, members are expected to work intensively within their respective wards to ensure electoral success.
Similarly, the Nepali Congress has urged all its sister organisations and affiliated bodies to carry out their responsibilities in line with the directive and actively participate in the campaign.
Meanwhile, the meeting also endorsed the Nepali Congress House of Representatives Election Mobilisation Directive-2026, with amendments, and the Nepali Congress Public Programme Management Directive-2026. It was presented by Vice President Bishwo Prakash Sharma.
The Central Working Committee also decided to form a three-member Central Disciplinary Committee in line with the party statute. Central Committee Member Taraman Gurung has been appointed coordinator of the committee, while Dhana Khatiwoda and Subash Kumar Pokharel have been named as members.
