Former GS employee Bajracharya passes away

By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Feb. 9: Chandrawati Bajracharya, a former employee of Gorkhapatra Corporation, passed away on Saturday.

Bajracharya, who served as an assistant computer officer in the Corporation’s computer branch, was found unconscious in her bathroom around 4 pm on Saturday, after reportedly suffocating while bathing.    

Her sister, Rewati Bajracharya, said she was immediately taken to Norvic Hospital in Thapathali, where doctors declared her dead. Chandrawati Bajracharya worked at Gorkhapatra Corporation as a permanent staff member from December 15, 1996 to June 25, 2024. She is survived by her husband and a son.

Rewati Bajracharya added that Chandrawati’s body was cremated at Teku Dovan on Sunday, following a postmortem at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj.
