Role of observer crucial for free and fair election: Commissioner JBR

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 6: Election Commissioner Sagun Shumsher J.B. Rana has said that role of observer is crucial for free and fair election.
While addressing the orientation programme organized for election observers in election commission today, Rana said that the observers should keep clear information regarding the constitution, election laws, and current situation.
The commissioner cautioned the observers to follow the directives and code of conduct to be obeyed by observers recently published by the election commission.
He said that the observer organizations played crucial role to enhance the credibility of election in the past.
